If you’re like most people, you’ve resolved from time to time to get into shape and in most cases, this usually involves losing some weight. It is very common to become discouraged by the cycle of setting a goal to lose weight and then abandoning it within days or even hours. When it comes to your health, it is not helpful to spend a lot of time looking back and regretting past decisions. Instead, focus on now beginning this very moment let go of any regret you may have and use that energy to start making choices today that will benefit your health. Losing weight and keeping it off will never solely be about dieting, deprivation, and self-guilt. You have to change the way you think not just about food, but about your life. You must recognize that you deserve to be healthy and you are worthy of being healthy.
The human body was designed to do work-hard work. Our ancestors literally had to perform hard labor to get through a typical day. People didn’t just hop in their cars if they had to go somewhere. Today we have it too easy. We rather drive than walk. Labor-saving devices may save us time but we pay a big price by signaling to the body that our muscles and heart are not important systems to be maintained. We need to overload these systems every so often to keep them working at optimal levels, so that we have them when we need them. The goal of Temple Fitness is to provide you with information that will help you properly understand your body.
